This will be taking place at Oklahoma State University on: October 7, 2016 2:30-4:00 p.m. Student Union Case Study II Room 416
We will be discussing Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Disabilities. There will be NO trainings. But rather this will be just a frank discussion over everything. We will be discussing how we can improve everything on campus and in Stillwater for people in those three communities.

I went to Oklahoma State University and was able to speak with at least four students interested in finding out more and wanting to take time to think about getting involved.

The next Raid Oklahoma Forum will be February 3, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Oklahoma State University. This event will be held in the Student Union Ballroom. Next week I will see what I need to do to get a booth set up the week of the 23rd. I'm going to try to have it the 24th. I will also be contacting my alma mater, Rose State College to see if I can get an article in about what I'm working on doing to help those with TBI and that will benefit everyone. At Rose State is where I relearned how to do so much and I promised that when I got TBI Raiders going, I was coming back to help the students there just like the college had helped me when I was a student. I am also going to try to get Stillwater High School involved. There is already a student at a Norman High School involved via volunteermatch.org. So I would like to try to create a friendly type of Bedlam competition (if that's possible) for Raid Oklahoma to help raise awareness on concussions in sports. So I would also like to get the University of Oklahoma involved and the University of Central Oklahoma involved in the Raid Oklahoma Forums. The forums being done at the high school level would also help with the understanding of concussions and head injuries that occur from car accidents, etc. that teenagers may sustain a TBI from. It would also help broaden the understanding and increase the success of graduation from learning new methods of teaching for students who are living with a Traumatic Brain Injury.
Also provided once more students get involved, like the ones with media majors, they could help with the YouTube channel and that could be our channel to do our "upbeat stories" and bring the positive side to all the negativity that is generally thought of in terms of Traumatic Brain Injury and show what is being done...not just in Stillwater but also in other places around the nation. Like I made mention above I would like to get a friendly type of Bedlam competition going on for Raid Oklahoma. Eventually I would like to see the newsletters started up again. Then we have the programs and events with TBI Raiders. I will list the programs first then the events. - TBI's Corner - Survived to Vote & Raid Oklahoma
Events: Raid Oklahoma Forum (every 3 months) TBI Raiders Week and Raiders Experience (March) Raid Oklahoma Gala (May - I would like to do this to honor ALL Traumatic Brain Injury survivors, veterans/civilians in like Payne County; something to get something like it started;NEED help with this!!!) Registration Booths/Information Drives/Training (August/September) Raiders Explosion/TBI Raiders Week (November)
If you would like to know how long the organization has existed, I created in January of 2002 when I had only been living with a Left/Right Traumatic Brain Injury for only four years. So basically this month is TBI Raiders birthday month!!! So TBI Raiders is 15 years old now!!!
